The heat and the rain didn’t stop the golfer’s generous donations to the 21st Annual Children’s Golf Classic Invitational. This year’s tournament raised an exceptional $184,472 (net) for Children’s Hospital at London Health Sciences Centre.

Since 1990 sponsors, golfers and supports have come together to raise funds for children’s health care and research. In these 21 years we have raised unbelievable $2,244,662 (net) for Children’s Hospital and Children’s Health Research Institute.

We were honoured to have special guests Dr. Jennifer Arnold, Neonatalogist and Medical Director of the Pediatric Simulation Center at Texas Children’s Hospital, her husband Bill Klein and Assistant Director of the Texas Children’s Simulation Center Kelly Wallin, attend the event.

While Dr. Arnold and Ms. Wallin delivered lectures on simulation to doctors and scientist at Children’s Hospital, Children’s Health Research Institute and Canadian Surgical Technologies and Advanced Robotics (CSTAR), Mr. Klein had the opportunity to golf in our tournament.

For the first time in the tournament’s history we have designated these funds to purchase specialized paediatric simulation equipment to help train and education our health care professional at Children’s Hospital.

To bring simulation into your hospital before all Children’s patients move in, is brilliant and this is going to provide safer and better care for your children.”
